Orbit gum expressed their ability to get their audience thinking and sharing some of the same funny expressions used in this commercial. By getting the people to talk like this is awesome. I say that because if they can touch their audience and have those sharing expressions like lint licker or cutie queen, they slowly create a buzz. People will soon be asking where they heard that from etc.

With this kind of language being used amongst your audience they are basically doing your advertising for you.

Creating this buzz and having them share your brand with one another will create more talk about the brand and possible create more loyal customers.

The awareness will only go up when you can provide feelings with your ads. Whether it’s expressed through humor; inspiration, or creates sadness, the ability to get people to relate to your message is going to help your brand drastically.

LIVESTRONG

Nike does a fantastic job creating a sense of hope and the will to never quit in this advertisement. It’s very inspiring to get a glance back and see from where Lance Armstrong came from. To draw a picture and see what he went through and one could only imagine what he had to not only live, but to come back and win. His story is just amazing. Nike has taken his story and incorporated it into a LIVESTRONG way of life. Which is brilliant because it’s just about cancer anymore, it’s about never quitting; having hope, and giving it all you got. They have made this LIVESTRONG brand with the intentions of relating it to everyone. This is fantastic because they strive to be the best and stay on top, and with ads like this one they should have no problem doing just that.

ADIDAS does a great job interacting with the rest of the population. They use Olympic Gold medalist Henry Cejudo to deliver what ADIDAS the brand means to the sport of wrestling. When I see this ad I see hard work; Motivation, determination and drive to achieve. ADIDAS has shown me that they belong with the best of the best when it comes to their competitors in the wrestling industry.

This piece has inspired me to focus on how certain brands try to create feeling and meaning towards you the consumer while viewing certain ads. I think ADIDAS does a great job generating the serious focus feeling. Created by the music; the famous wrestler, the intense training behind it all leads me to feel motivated and connected with their message.

The BCSPCA is speaking out for animals. Standing up and working to help the fight against animal cruelty. This is so inspiring and they really do a great job with their advertising and marketing to help this cause. They want the viewer to help be the answer, expressing that their donation will save a life!

The way the BCSPCA relays their message to viewer is very effective. I mean they have the sad and calming music playing in the background; photos that bring the viewers to feel for these animals. They do a great job in connecting emotions to their messages. Using a famous music artist to deliver the main message to act now, and we could save an animal’s life! This is just a well put advertisement. You almost feel guilty for not donating money to this foundation.

From this message I would take away their ability to use music and sad photos to help bring emotion to what their main message is. It’s important to notice their game plan is well thought out. They give people information about what’s going on with these animals; express how we can help make this stop and then in the end encourage the viewers to act. This I believe is extremely effective because like I said, they almost make you feel guilty for not donating. That to me means that they did a very good job.

ESPN SportsCenter

EPSN SportsCenter takes its marketing and advertising to a whole new level. They have the ability to work with the very best athletes from all different sports. They Broadcast highlights of all different sports and provide updated news and information to everyday.

They are a huge company and one of my favorites when it comes to advertising. They constantly bring entertainment and humor when it comes to their advertisements on television. Oh and don’t let me forget, their humor tends to be simple nerdy humor but in the end very effective. ESPN tends to use famous professional athletes from all different sports. They do a great job in reminding us what exactly they are about when it comes to sports broadcasting. Which includes them working with all the best athletes in each sport and providing the viewers with up to date information. They express the value that they really do bring to viewers and anyone interested in sports with creative and funny messages and famous athletes.

I would like to take away from ESPN’s strategy their ability to connect with the viewers and bring a humorous and creative message. They use some of the most famous athletes in their advertisements as part of their strategy. Which I feel is gives a creative feel to these messages and creates a buzz within the viewers who watch them. With this buzz it basically allows people to speak up and talk about how simple but funny “ESPN’s new commercial is”. With people talking about it a lot = free advertising for ESPN.

EA Sports has always been an innovator when it comes to making sports games in the market. They exceed in striving to make their video games as real and engaging as possible. EA has been doing what needs to be done to ensure that their stays on top or close to it.

I have been playing their sports games for as long as I could think and every year seems to be getting better and better. They have provided a very intriguing product that has gained them a competitive advantage in the market. This is very hard for other companies to duplicate. With the innovative non-stop action pack features and graphics they seem to be unstoppable. I will always continue buying their products because they are reliable brand and their games are almost guaranteed to have better features every time. Here a clip of their 2010 Madden NFL game that came out last year.

This advertisement that Budweiser put on was very brilliant. Budweiser continues to do what they love doing which includes promoting their brand while at the same time bringing comedy to the viewers. They have a tendency of coming up with very funny simple advertisements that have a big impact on consumers. Even if consumers aren’t necessarily purchasing their products Budweiser wants it to be known that they are part of “The in crowd.” Their image and the way they portray themselves consistently in many of the ads they put out is very exciting and hilarious.

We as marketers entering the field can learn a lot from this company. Their ability to relate their brand image to the things that we as consumers care about the most for example; Sports, Friends and being connected etc. is brilliant. They do this and spice it up with a little comedy and these things together make a huge impact in giving hints about what Budweiser is really about.

Every athlete know’s what it feels like to be dehydrated. Gatorade has and continues to do a great job expressing their positioning and value to their targeted consumers. Whether it’s football, baseball or any sport, Gatorade always finds a way to show consumers the value of purchasing their products. This is an older clip that I remember seeing a couple years back but Gatorade did such a great job using Michael Jordan to play against “himself from when he was younger.” They did a great job using Jordan which everyone knows was an amazing athlete. He helped stress the importance their product has on performance. That’s why I believe this is a great advertisement. Here’s a link let me know what you all think.
